Is there a wait for your egg donor program?
There is currently NO WAIT to begin our donor egg program. We have many donors of various ethnic origins who have undergone rigorous genetic, psychological, medical and infectious disease testing. With a clinical pregnancy rate of over 80% per embryo transfer of only 1-2 embryos, Dominion Fertility has one of the most successful egg donor programs in the country.

I have heard of egg sharing but I am not exactly sure what it means. What is it and does Dominion Fertility practice this?
Dominion Fertility DOES NOT practice egg sharing. Some clinics in the area claim that they are able to offer less expensive participation in their egg donor programs by using one donor's eggs for several couples during the same cycle; this is egg sharing. In our opinion, splitting the eggs between patients lowers the chances of one patient becoming pregnant, and may raise the risk of health effects for the donor. All eggs harvested during any one cycle are used for only ONE patient because at Dominion Fertility we practice personalized care, one couple at a time.

I have heard of Natural Cycle IVF. What is it and how do I know if it is an option for me?
Natural Cycle IVF is a simple yet innovative form of in vitro fertilization that is based on a woman's natural cycle, and does not require fertility drugs. Created and implemented in an effort to address and decrease the emotional, physical and financial stresses associated with traditional fertility treatment, NCIVF has proven to be a safe and effective alternative. The best candidates are patients under age 35 with regular menstrual cycles.

Why don't all clinics offer Natural Cycle IVF?
Most clinics tend to rely on the old adage of strength in numbers. NCIVF uses only one embryo and relies on technique and timing rather than, the more, the better. While more than one embryo is certainly advisable for some patients, there are many who have a strong chance of success when transplanting only one.

How will my endocrinologist determine a fertility treamentplan of therapy?
After a series of tests and consulting your medical records, your doctor will be able to recommend your best therapeutic plan. Each couple's particular fertility treatment will be developed with their specific needs in mind. At Dominion Fertility we take great pride in our philosophy of personalized care, and that is reflected in our high rate of success.

How expensive are fertility treatments?
Our financial information page can give you an estimated cost and also let you know what fertility treatment packages we offer. Keep in mind that in addition to treatment, there is also the cost of injectable fertility medications to consider, so we can only offer an estimated cost.

Will my insurance pay for my fertility treatments?
Insurance coverage for infertility varies so it is important that you understand your specific benefits. Some companies may offer extensive fertility benefits, while others offer no coverage at all. Our finance department will be happy to assist with any questions you might have.
