Michael DiMattina, MD
Medical Director
Dr. Michael DiMattina is the Director and founder of Dominion Fertility. He is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialty certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He graduated summa-cum-laude from American University and performed cancer research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) before attending medical school at the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. DiMattina completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Georgetown and the NIH. He was a faculty member at Georgetown University School of Medicine before establishing Dominion Fertility in 1987.
Dr. DiMattina is a Clinical Associate Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgetown University Hospital and provides weekly lectures in Reproductive Endocrinology to the Obstetrics and Gynecology interns, residents, and medical students from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. DiMattina has been honored on numerous occasions for his educational activities including the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) National Resident Teaching Award.
John David Gordon, MD
Co-Director
Dr. John David Gordon is the Co-Director of Dominion Fertility and a Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at The George Washington University in Washington D.C. As a professor, he provides weekly lectures in Reproductive Endocrinology to the Obstetrics and Gynecology interns, residents, and medical students from The George Washington University. He is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialty certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Gordon graduated summa-cum-laude from Princeton University and attended medical school at Duke University. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University Medical Center and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Gordon is the editor of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Infertility, a handbook that is used worldwide by medical students, residents, physicians, and women?s healthcare providers. He has been honored on numerous occasions for his educational activities including the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) National Resident Teaching Award.

This relationship between you and our laboratory begins almost immediately upon admission to the practice. Following a review of your history, laboratory staff and physician meet to develop a fertility plan designed specifically for you.
In addition to our embryology laboratory, our in-house andrology and endocrinology laboratories, staffed by clinical scientists Lisa Ensign and Enzo Algarmo, give us the ability to diagnose and modify any treatment plan.
