Egg Donor Recipient
Immediate Availability of Qualified Donors
Fact: Since 2004, over 80% of couples in our ova donor program have conceived after just one embryo transfer.

Dominion Fertility has had such success helping women to conceive using donor ova because of our experience and laboratory expertise. Additionally, all of our ova donors are between the ages of twenty and twenty nine years old. Our anonymous donor egg program has no waiting list, and all of our donors undergo genetic, psychological, medical and infectious disease testing.
We believe that our ova donor program is one of the strongest in the country because of our dedication to personalized care and commitment to treat each patient as an individual. As a part of this dedication, at Dominion Fertility all eggs obtained during your treatment cycle will be used exclusively by you.
We do not share your eggs with other patients.
This is so we can offer you your best chances of conceiving.
We have had outstanding success with ova donation. Please feel free to review our egg donor success rates. For information on the donor's physical characteristics, educational background, ethnic origin, and special interests, please view our donor catalogue.

Medical Indications for Egg Donation
More than 150,000 women in the United States cannot conceive because of ovarian dysfunction. Listed below are some reasons for using donor ova:
- Age related infertility
- Previously failed fertility treatment
- Premature ovarian failure / Menopause / Removal of ovaries
- Genetic Disease
- Radiation therapy
Why Seek Egg Donation? Why Not Just Adopt?
- There is a strong desire to experience pregnancy.
- Parents do not want to adopt or have experienced failed attempts at adoption.
- Adoption is costly
- Home study is required
- Legal issues must be addressed
- There is a waiting period of 1-3 years
- Social / cultural reasons
- Patients have more control over prenatal environment and health with ova donation.
- The couple desires the male partner's biological child.
There are many advantages to conceiving using egg donation rather than pursuing adoption. Importantly, the recipient is able to control the prenatal environment through nutrition and psychological input. Also, many women have the desire to experience pregnancy from conception through breastfeeding. This would not be possible with adoption.
What is the cost?
Egg donation is expensive, and most insurance companies do not cover the costs of donor egg. Our financial counselors are available to provide information and to work closely with you throughout your entire cycle. For information about our anonymous donor egg financial guarantee, please visit our IVF Guarantee page.
What are the success rates?
Since 2004, our ova donor program has achieved a clinical pregnancy rate of over 80% per embryo transfer of only 1-2 embryos. The incidence of twin pregnancy is 20-30%. Please visit our Success Rates page to view the statistics in table form.
Donor Screening
All Dominion Fertility Ova Donors are screened for HIV using both the standard testing, and PCR. They are also tested for hepatitis B and C, general health profile, prolactin, RPR, TORCH, thyroid function, cervical cultures, and pap smear. The donor's partner is tested for HIV, hepatitis B and C, and RPR. Genetic testing is performed on all new ova donors. In addition to medical testing, all donors must have at least one psychological evaluation. Patients seeking ova donation have a strong input into deciding which donor they will use. Our Egg Donor Coordinator works closely with all patients to ensure that the best possible complement is achieved.
