About 1 in 8 (12%) women in the US will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime.

The average 15-year survival rate for people with breast cancer is 78%. Recent population based studies highlight the need for increased awareness of fertility preservation options for cancer patients. At Dominion Fertility we offer counseling on reproductive health outcomes for cancer survivors as well as effective treatments for women who would like to explore their fertility preservation options prior to start of their chemotherapy. Most women struggling through these tough times rarely consider their future reproductive health. In 2012, a qualitative study of female California cancer survivors concluded that many women may not receive adequate information about reproductive health risks or fertility preservation at the time of cancer diagnosis.

We’d like to provide you with information and timely options that won’t delay your chemotherapy, so you can truly make an informed choice about your reproductive future.- Dr. Waud
